Eclipsed

It's 3:30 am as I type this and life is good.

The much heralded lunar eclipse is still in progress, well actually egress (or regress?) because we are half an hour past totality.  So the earth is still being bathed in eclipse energy.  My sleepy son and I went out under the cloudy sky at the peak of the eclipse to see if we could see it, but alas, the clouds were too thick.  We waved to the moon anyway and went inside to watch the SLOOH observatory webcast.  The really cool thing was that just after he crawled back to bed, it started pouring rain outside, where moments before we were able to stand barefoot on the grass, being a connection between Sun, Earth and Moon in their cosmic dance.

Many people on the planet observe this week as Holy Week, the week leading up to Easter.   This year Holy Week is incredibly full of interesting days, starting with Monday April 14th: Lunar Eclipse, closest approach to Mars, Passover (hmm, shadow "passing over" the moon), and the date was 4/14/14 which adds up to 14 if you take the individual numbers (4+1+4+1+4).  I really felt like Monday was a portal, a doorway, when you could observe what literally knocks on your door and see the seeds of the future.  It's all about consciously co-creating what shows up in our lives and 4/14/14 was a power day!  And the rest of the week's planetary alignments (Cardinal Grand Cross) and other significances support and accelerate our manifesting our heart's desires.

Does it make it a "holy" week?  I guess that's up to each of us to decide what we hold sacred.  What enhances and deepens our spirituality, our encounters with the divine and that comes down to choice, attitude, and gratitude.

Right now I am going to gratefully choose to go have a divine encounter with my pillow!  Happy Eclipse!  May all your sweet dreams come to Light!

The I'd's of March

I'd like to... I'd have done that if.... I'd rather... I'd rather not... I'd appreciate it...
I was thinking about the Ides of March, when all of a sudden it became the "I'd's" of March.  I pondered how many ways and how many times I use "I'd" in a given day.  And it's interesting that "I would" and "I had" are both phrases that take us out of present moment consciousness.  "I would" is some sort of weird future past tense because you use it to talk about a future event but with the past tense of "will" - such as "I would like to go to my friend's house" or "I'd be interested in hearing more about that."  I've even tried to substitute active, present tense verbs and haven't found a good substitute.  But I'd like to hear from other people on this!  (hahaha)  So as the Spring breezes blow us into April, I will mindfully beware the I'd's of March!  (But I must say it is fun using two apostrophes in one word!)

Ta da and ta done!

Well, I just finished watching "Julia & Julie" (or vice versa) and I decided to boldly go where no Ann has ever gone before and start a blog.  I wonder how many other people have been inspired to start a blog because of that movie...  (I take it as a very good sign that the "create a blog post" instructions on Weebly use a video of Julia Child with David Letterman as their example!!!)
Anyhow, I have been trying to find a good way to update my website when I have a cool photo or something wild happens.  I have wrestled with this and gotten overwhelmed and so don't update my website at all.  Well, Julie showed me that a blog might be the way to do it and have fun at the same time.  Even if no one ever reads my blog, at least I will have satisfied myself that I am putting this info out there.
The other reason I haven't done a blog before is that I didn't want to read people's comments that these were just blurry photos or that I was some whacko with an open aperture.  I didn't want to expose myself (ok, puns have to be part of my blog, because they are part of me and there are so many good, er, bad, photography puns to be made).  Ok, where was I?  Oh, yes, I didn't want to expose myself to the negative comments (ooh, didn't even intend that pun!).  Then I realized maybe there would actually be some good comments, by people who were inspired to look at their own photos differently.  Or who saw or felt something that opened them in a new way to the possibilities that we really ARE much more than what most of us can see with our physical eyes.
So there you have it.  I'm starting a blog.  Well, actually I already started it because this is my first post!  And what would a first post be without a photo?  So I am including a photo I took last night.  I am fortunate to be part of an amazing group of women who get together once a month.  Last night I took photos as two friends led us through "The Twelve Blessings," which was channelled by Dr. George King back in 1958.  It is amazingly powerful stuff, that creates a field of energy whose time is NOW!
I took a lot of photos, but somehow this simple picture, this blurry-can't-see-anything picture, makes my heart happy every time I look at it.  It makes my pendulum go crazy happy, too!  So I send it out as a heart happy Blessing to you, too... with Love.
Many Blessings and Blissings,
Ann Ti Procrastination
